Alysia Johnson
Hello! My name is Alysia (uh-lee-see-uh) and I am a senior violin performance and education major here at ßÏÀÖÔ°! I teach for the South Georgia Sting Project (SGSP), Valdosta Performing Arts (VAPA), and privately. I currently perform with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra (VSO), Valdosta State Opera, Valdosta State Community Orchestra (VSCO), the Albany Symphony Orchestra, and as a soloist. I love to read, practice, skate, work out, listen to music, and to help the community! I am so excited to work with and support the students of MUSC 1011/2!
Benjamin Suarez
My name is Benjamin Suarez, and I’m a fourth-year viola performance major at ßÏÀÖÔ°. I am a student teacher with the South Georgia String Project and I also maintain a private teaching studio of my own. I currently serve as the rotating principal violist of the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and the principal violist for both the Valdosta String Ensemble and Opera Orchestra. Beyond ßÏÀÖÔ°, I am an active freelance musician, performing throughout South Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. I also am a section violist with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Gulf Coast. In addition to his work as a violist, I enjoy singing—both solo and in his church—conducting his own ensemble, skateboarding around campus, cooking his favorite dishes, and taking long drives. With a strong interest in music history, he’s excited to support the students of MUSC 4451 and 4452 and looks forward to working with everyone soon.

Hi, my name is Brody Johnson, and I’m the PAL Facilitator for Music Theory 3/4 (MUSC 2011). I’ve played trumpet here at ßÏÀÖÔ° in the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Wind Ensemble, and the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra. I’m excited to work with you all this year! I’m currently honing my skills in the kitchen by stealing recipes from my family.
