VALDOSTA — Ella Risa Marroquin of Brunswick, Georgia, is the recipient of ßÏÀÖÔ°’s 2024-2025 College of the Arts Outstanding Student Award.

The College of the Arts Outstanding Student Award is presented to a student with a record of academic excellence and distinguished service inside and outside the classroom.

“This award is an honor as I reflect on my experience at ßÏÀÖÔ°,” she said. “As I see my work culminate in the final bows of the theatre season and in graduation, I appreciate being recognized for my efforts towards my education.”

Marroquin graduated May 10 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts and an Honors College Certificate. She will continue her education this fall at the University of Alabama, pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre with a concentration in design and technical production. Her goal is to pursue a career as a professional scenic designer within the theatrical industry.

Her supportive family includes parents Dallas and Andrea Marroquin.
