Blazer Week Build for Habitat for Humanity scheduled for January15-21
The ßÏÀÖÔ° Department of Athletics and the
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee are sponsoring "Blazer Week
Build," a week long Habitat for Humanity effort to build a home for
a family in need. The dates are January 15-21. The majority of ßÏÀÖÔ°
student-athletes will be working Saturday and Sunday, January 15-16
and other volunteers will be working throughout the week.
In addition, ßÏÀÖÔ°'s Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and
Multicultural Affairs will also assist the Blazer Week Build effort
on Thursday, January 20, with a Martin Luther King Jr.
Commemorative build day. The work that day will honor the life and
teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr. This year's event provides
members of the ßÏÀÖÔ° community an opportunity to commemorate a life
of service by serving the community. Volunteers for the Martin
Luther King Jr. Commemorative build day are asked to call 333-5463
to sign up for the event.
