Welcome to the field of  MFT is a clinical field, perhaps the only one of the mental health disciplines in which therapy (and your training) rests on relational/systemic theory. MFT’s believe that human behavior and problems make sense in context, and context includes individuals’ and families’ histories, values, experiences, perspectives, and lifestyles. Family therapists learn to think contextually, appreciating and respecting the many personal, family, and social variables that shape human problems. For family therapists this is the only ethical way of working with clients.

Through a rigorous and transformative curriculum, we prepare you to facilitate meaningful change and to meet the requirements for state licensure upon graduation.
