Dr. Steve Downey is a professor of education at ßÏÀÖÔ°. He earned his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Illinois in 2001, an M.Ed. from the University of Missouri in 1994, and a B.S.B.A. from the University of Missouri in 1988. His professional experience spans both K–12 and higher education, including roles as a teacher, researcher, and faculty member. Dr. Downey’s research focuses on artificial intelligence, virtual world environments, technology-based teaching and learning paradigms, computer-mediated communication, human-computer interaction, and semiotics.
