A. Blake Pearce serves as Executive Director of Special Projects in Academic Affairs and Chief Development Officer of University Advancement at ßÏÀÖÔ°. In addition to his interim appointment as Vice President of University Advancement (2022-2023), he served nine years as Dean (2013-2022), thirteen years as the Head of the Department of Art & Design (2000-2013) and nine years as art faculty (1991-2000). Blake taught printmaking and foundations courses at ßÏÀÖÔ° for over 20 years.
He is a member of Alpha Chi and Phi Kappa Phi Honors Societies. He is a member of the Southern Graphics Council International , the South Eastern College Art Conference, the College Art Association, and the National Council of Arts Administrators. He served as a site visitor for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design for 12 years. Pearce received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Valdosta State College in 1983, a Master of Arts from Ball State University in 1986, and a Master of Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1989. Working in the areas of painting, drawing, and printmaking; his works have been exhibited in local, regional, and national exhibitions.
